It’s as easy as completing an application! Just click the “Join Today!” button on the top right corner of our website, fill out an application, and you will hear from a member of our staff shortly! A thorough application is essential to ensure we have all your business details listed on our site, so be sure to include as many details as you can! If you would rather join in person, just swing by the office and we can assist you in filling out your application.

Membership is available to any business, organization or government entity that wishes to support the Chamber’s mission and take advantage of the services and benefits provided by the organization.

All employees of a Chamber member organization may use all the resources we offer.

The Lake City – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is registered as a 501(c)(6) organization. Membership in the Chamber may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. 

We provide marketing opportunities through membership, allowing you to gain exposure for your business through a wide variety of venues, from monthly networking events to online and print advertising to targeted sponsorships.
Not only does the Chamber of Commerce offer your business a chance to grow and get connected, but your involvement will help improve the area’s overall business climate and build a more prosperous community for all.

Not at all. While many members enjoy attending Chamber events, involvement is entirely flexible and based on your schedule and interests.

The Chamber offers a wide range of programs and services beyond events, including business advocacy, workforce and economic development support, educational opportunities, and visibility through our online member directory and website listings. Because our membership represents a diverse business community, we work to provide value in multiple ways—whether you are highly engaged in networking or prefer a more behind-the-scenes benefit.

Through your membership, you are also supporting broader efforts to strengthen the local business climate and economy across Lake City, Columbia County, and the Florida Gateway region.

As a 501(c)6 not-for-profit membership based organization, the Chamber of Commerce is governed by 13 volunteer Board of Director members comprised of, and elected by, their fellow members.

Day-to-day operations are overseen and executed by our highly qualified and trained Chamber staff.

While we are grateful for, and collaborate with our governing partners, we are NOT a government entity. We are independent 501(c)6 not-for-profit organization. 

Additionally we are not an organization run by, or part of, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, US Chamber of Commerce, Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives or Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (though we are members of these great organizations – just as you are a member of the Lake City – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce).

The Chamber actively represents and advocates for its members through participation in key local and regional initiatives, including the Columbia County Economic Development Advisory Board, the Columbia County Affordable Housing Action Committee, and the Columbia County Homeless Coalition, among others.

We also maintain an active partnership with the Florida Chamber of Commerce to stay informed on statewide policy and economic issues that may impact your business.

Through this involvement, the Chamber ensures that the voice of business is heard—locally and statewide—so that if an issue affects your organization, we are at the table advocating on your behalf.

We’re glad you asked! Here at the Lake City – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, we offer our members and their employees a wide range of opportunities to share their expertise and enthusiasm with fellow members and the community.

We strongly encourage our stakeholders to become familiar faces at the chamber’s events, committee meetings and programs.
