Events Committee

2020 Chair: To Be Announced​
The Events Committee exists to create opportunities for Chamber membership to interact, network, and build relationships.  For each program or event, the committee is responsible for selecting guest speakers, determining venues, coordinating catering, providing decorations, etc.  ​Additionally, the programs and events are designed to increase visibility for our membership, foster involvement in the Chamber and business community, provide opportunities for business referrals, and cultivate professional development and growth.

2020 Chair: Lacrecia Barber, First Federal Bank
​Assists in compiling an annual budget of estimated expenses and incomes; makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for actions regarding finance policies, processes and procedures. This could also include monitor and review the activity of the Chamber's investments.

Government Affairs Committee

​This committee is responsible for helping determine Chamber Policy on issues important to business, for developing a legislative agenda, for communicating issues to the Board of Directors and general membership, and for building relationships and networks between the Chamber and elected officials across all levels of government.  

Leads Club Members
LEADS 
​The Chamber hosts several active LEADS Clubs. These groups of non-competing businesses meet  to provide business leads to one another. Membership in each group is limited to one representative per industry, is fee based and can include up to 30 participants. The mission is to promote the products and services represented by members, share qualified business referrals, motivate professional growth, and provide information regarding the business community in a comfortable, relaxed environment!

The Membership Committee works to ensure that new and existing businesses in Florida's Gateway Region are aware of the benefits of membership.  This committee focuses on recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and is charged with communicating the needs and expectations of the membership to the Board of Directors.

​Our Small Business Committee works to provide Chamber members with the tools to manage their businesses, services to enhance their knowledge and skills as well as identify opportunities to boost sales, win new customers, increase visibility, gain business referrals, and promote their business. This committee aid in the planning, design and development of member benefits and services specific to small businesses.
