The Lake City-Columbia County Chamber is committed to providing superior services and solutions for the business community. Our Government Relations Committee has been elevated to a level of primary importance. The Chamber’s Government Affairs Council helps business leaders navigate government complexity, facilitate connections with elected officials and key stakeholders, and raise the collective voice of Florida's Gateway Region business community at the local, state and federal levels of government. We work to build relationships and partnerships with elected officials to drive our collective goal of advancing a thriving North Florida community.

Legislative Series: These events illuminate issues of broad significance to the region’s business community and engage and educate members on why they should care about them. These events will equip businesses with the information they need to understand the potential impacts of new and proposed laws, so that they can make smart business decisions and feel empowered to talk to their elected officials about the issue.
Day at the Capitol: We provide access to numerous officeholders and government officials. This provides a venue for both members and policy makers to exchange information and dive deeper into issues affecting your business.
FL-Washington D.C. Fly-In: Coordinated through our US House of Representatives and Senate, this is an opportunity for our members, government officials and community stakeholders to meet with federal agencies, FL business leaders as well as our US representatives serving in Washington, D.C.
Legislative Reception: Held annually after the election, this is an opportunity to meet, network and socialize with new and returning elected officials in a casual reception-style setting.
